This 90-minute session examines the role of Protestant and Catholic churches in Germany from 1933 to 1945, exploring their positions during the rise of Adolf Hitler. It investigates German nationalism, the churches’ stances before and during the Weimar Republic, and Nazi strategies to diminish church influence through control, manipulation, and suppression.
